Over at blogdowntown, a commentor on Peek admired the fruit display and wanted to weep for joy. Us service-oriented downtown bloggers did just that during Ralphs opening day coverage. Actually, this supermarket is a step down in prices compared to the corner markets that charge an arm and a leg. So even the people in skid row who were shopping at the Ralphs today told me that the prices were reasonable. Go figure.. Some items might be a bit much , but being close to home and getting a better deal is better than giving it all up at the corner market.
