Brunch replaced traditional shovel & ribbon cutting at the Sunday morning Urth Caffé groundbreaking held in this former warehouse, located across the street from Barker Block. You are standing in the area that  will be a full bakery, returning a tradition of baked goods produced in the industrial area.

The current controversy with the proposed industrial zoning by CRA and city planning is a mess of overlapping agendas. This project, and AMP lofts, may be a prototype to define a new zone that fits 21st century industry that could mix residents with creative tech and interactive media; a Cool Industrial Zone in early 20th century warehouses.

It was something to mull over during a lengthy read, while having a bagel and coffee.
