"It was a long time in coming," said Ed Reyes just before the ribbon-cutting introduction of a restored MacArthur Park bandshell, now known as the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts. Hosted by actor Tony Plana, the evening had Mayor Villaraigosa welcoming a crowd waiting for the inaugural concert with La Internacional Sonora. The City of LA covered the cost for renovation, and the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion will sponsor the free concert series for five years. Two more pic after the jump.

Gee!!! what a performance of such an amazing orchestra whic is La Internacional Sonora Show. Congratulations, to McArthur Park for opening and trying to clean up such a beautiful landmark which is the park. Also, keep on bringing excellent groups like La Internacional Sonora Show; which represents the talent of Hispanics here in the United States. Also, I want to add I admire the little dancers of such a wonderful orchestra. It had music for everybody; my kids enjoyed the concert to the fullest. God Bless you all for such an beautiful night you guys brought to our family.

Beautiful venue, congratulations!!!! And what an wonderful band I couldn't stop dancing to the rythm of La Internacional Sonora Show!!!! Que orgullo Hispano. I am very happy to be able to walk around the park again; please keep bringing quality of music like "Sonora Show" Kiko Vargas and Macondo are the most amazing entertainers I have ever seen. Que viva La Internacional Sonora Show!!!!!

The park looks beautiful and safe. I hope it keeps this way. The performance of La Internacional Sonora Show was awesome!!! My family and kids enjoyed their music. Even my girls want to learn how to dance like the girls the band had as dancers. I thank you for giving us quality music and for guiding our kids to learn good things. A big hug to La Internacional Sonora Show!!!!

Que gran show el de "La Internacional Sonora Show" Es un gran orgullo Hispano. No hay mejor orquesta que ustedes y fue por eso que los escojieron para la gran abertura de el "Levitt Pavillion" en McArthur Park. Thank you for making my grandmother laughed and dance.

It was a magnificent performance by La internacional sonora show as always. This is going to bring a very positive insight into LA and it's people. Something that can bring positive recognition for Latinos in Los Angeles.

Amazing venue; everyone let's try to keep the park clean and safe. Also, don't forget to support the most respectful orchestra which is Sonora Show. I do remember that this band has always tried to help our community by bringing their incomparable music to every corner in the city. I had a chance to meet my paisana Roxana (manager) who is not only very humble but beautiful, talented and professional as well, what a human being!. No wonder, La Internacional Sonora Show continues to be successful! Que viva El Salvador y la cumbia con La Internacional Sonora Show!!!

I do agree with you La Internacional Sonora Show is great. Every show is different; full of energy, fun with music for all ages from cumbia, salsa, balads to vallenato. A complete orchestra that has been around for a long, long time. To the organizers of the concert series at the Levitt Pavillion my respect you couldn't have chosen a better band than La Internacional Sonora Show. They are the greatest!!!! I love them. Thank you to Mcarthur Park for such a great concert of La Internacional Sonora Show. I dance the whole night with my wife and my kids. They played hit after hit that I couldn't stop dancing. Los Reyes De La Cumbia sigan adelante. My blessings to Sonora Show. Los adoro. Su fan colombiano; me hicieron recordar my beautiful country.
