Over the Bridge: Eric Lynxwiler led urban explorers back and forth from Downtown to Boyle Heights over the viaducts that cross the Los Angeles River and you can expect Shannon of ShainLA to post more on her brainchild later. Meanwhile, a slideshow can be explored here.
Walk Along: There was a temptation to wait for the walkers on the roof of this loft and shout "tourists!" as they pass by on Santa Fe, but I decided to meet up at the Union Station starting point and join until it was time for me to cover two other events. I wish I stayed on. It always fun to watch Angelenos discover a part of their city for the first time.
TheShaSter even had some bridge fans drive in from Arizona to take the tour. You can tell they were experienced in walking under the hot sun. They brought salt tablets.
Eric brought along tons of info from the Los Angeles Conservancy and...well...I think you just might have to join in the next one to learn the details of the bridges, walk around the Arts District, explore Boyle Heights, and wonder why "eddie" has a battery pack on his bike.
Eric fronts the tour on the First Street Bridge. Detail on Cesar Chavez. A bike for all seasons, and a group shot at the Sixth Street Bridge.

wow, great pics. i'm so happy you were able to join us for half of the walk. the last 2 bridges were brutal with the heat. i hope to have a recap on my site later on tonight.

It's a good walk. I hope it's a yearly thing.
