Downtown Iced

Imgp4749_6Storm Front: Blocks of ice become an urban snowstorm as the City of LA Park and Recreation Department prepares for the Holiday Winter Festival being held this weekend in Pershing Square. The snow zone, surrounded by Christmas Trees waiting to be decorated, opened Friday evening and sits along side the "Downtown on Ice" skating rink. After the jump, the snow storm gets an audience, a L.A. native city employee has a taste of the East Coast as he moves around snow, and penguins are ready for their close up in photo opp friendly "snow scenes"
