30 day notice on the planned removal for some maturing trees, here seen on the left, has been posted and is getting the attention of downtown blogs calling for action. For any flickr photographer who shoots in and around downtown LA, take some time on Second Street at Main behind the Cal-Trans building and shoot a few frames. Document by photos what's still there in case this simple design working as public space in this pedestrian friendly sidewalk is lost. If there's enough interest, hopefully this link between between Little Tokyo and the Historic Core can be saved. Or serve as a model what really works as public space.
